Punjab unveils Rs. 1681+ billion budget -- favoring social sectors like Education, Health, Agriculture & Clean Drinking Water.
Development budget of Rs. 550 billion will help generate employment opportunities for more than 5 lakh people.
Increase in Salaries and pension of employees os Punjab Government upto 10%.
Saaf Paani project gets 88% more budget compared to last fiscal year, Education gets 71% more budget, Health gets 62% more budget and Law & Order is allocated 48% more budget this year.
While it is worth mentioning here that Government of Punjab has saved a huge sum of Rs. 142 billion in different provincial mega projects by further negotiating with the lowest bidders.
